Why Is ID Required for Screening?

You might wonder why your FBSM massage provider asks for a copy of your passport or other government issued ID during the initial screening process of booking an appointment. 🪪 🆔

Sometimes new clients say that showing their ID feels invasive, or that they are concerned about being blackmailed by a provider.

The answer is simply this:

We are ADULT service providers.

You must be of legal age (at least 18 in the state of Oklahoma) to see us, and yes, we always verify your age & identity with valid identification.

Certain pleasures and privileges are only for adults in this world. For example:

You can’t buy alcohol, tobacco or cannabis products without ID.

You can’t enter a bar without ID.

You can’t rent a car or a hotel room without ID.

This is why we require ID.

In addition, we verify your identity using your full legal name in a background check during screening.

This is for our safety to ensure the client doesn’t have a past record of violent crime, stalking, or other misconduct towards women. It’s how we protect ourselves.

Even the most careful screening procedures and safeguards aren’t always perfect, and bad people sometimes get past those guardrails.

Heaven forbid, in the event that a client harms or kills a provider, their identification is on file for safekeeping off-premises or “in the cloud” to help authorities catch them.

“Do I have to give the provider my home or work address for screening?”

No. I always ask the client to blur or redact personal information such as home address. All I need to see for screening purposes is the client’s full name, photo, and DOB.

I also ask for a selfie of you holding your ID, to ensure that the ID is yours and not stolen.

The only exception to this rule is if a client is requesting an outcall to their home, in which case I need to ensure the address on their ID matches the home I’m going to. If the address on your ID doesn’t match the outcall address (say, if you’ve recently moved) I would require a pic of recent piece of mail addressed to you at that address.

“Can I just show you my ID upon arrival?”

No. We need to verify your age & identity BEFORE giving you our address or coming to your location.

We are not about to enter a situation where we are alone with a stranger without knowing who he is, that he is of legal age, and doesn’t have a history of violent crime.

“What happens to my personal info after screening? I’m concerned about my family or employer finding out.”

A legitimate adult service provider has no interest in blackmailing our clients. Our business model is, after all, based on mutual discretion.

We don’t keep your ID on file. Just like the corner bar, dispensary, or liquor store doesn’t keep your ID on file after the sale.

We simply check it, verify your age/identity, run a safety check during screening, and promptly destroy the photos you sent us after your appointment. (For obvious reasons we don’t want to keep our clients’ info on our devices for any longer than necessary.)

Hopefully this answers your questions and helps set your mind at ease about why we screen our clients carefully using accurate real world information.

As long as you’ve done your research on the provider and feel confident that she is careful about how she conducts her business, you should not worry about handing over your ID to meet her screening criteria.

In fact, you should be glad she screens her clientele with care. It’s the sketchy providers who don’t screen you should be wary of!

If she’s not asking you personal screening questions and verifying age/identity before agreeing to meet you or taking a deposit, RUN! That’s often a telltale sign of someone who doesn’t have your best interests (or even her own) at heart.
